Straight Answers

The questions every parent asks first

Asked at every join night. Answered here.

How much time, really?

One den meeting a week, one pack event a month. Miss a week? Nothing happens.

Do we have to camp?

No. Everything is choose-what-fits.

I was never a Scout.

Neither were most of us. Leaders run the program — you just show up.

Do parents have to volunteer?

Not to join. Most families pitch in for one event a year.

Is it for girls too?

Yes. Boys and girls, K–5, dens for everyone.

How do you keep kids safe?

Background checks and Youth Protection training for every adult. Two trained leaders at every activity — no exceptions.

Four Cub Scouts in blue uniforms giving the Cub Scout sign outdoors.

No Commitment Required

Crash a meeting. Decide later.

No registration, no cost, no uniform. Your kid jumps into the game; you talk to the parents.

Every leader is background-checked and Youth Protection trained. Chief Seattle Council, Scouting America.
